Being a native to SoCal I do look forward to a bit of weather but 5 days straight of pouring rain, including tornado warnings and massive flooding throughout Long Beach has us singing Rain, Rain Go Away. Whimps you say, well yes we are spoiled by our generally lovely weather, but there was an inch and a half of rain in one hour earlier this week at which time I had to go pick Charlotte up from school in and the drive was not pretty! We do like to sport our rain boots & jackets, one reason I do look forward to some precipitation: I have the coolest Cowboy rain boots!
These boots say look down here and please ignore my frizzy hair, my hair and the rain do not get along to say the least. Fun hats are another great accessory to bring out in the rain.
All the time indoors has led to some creative ways to play inside; fort building and loading up the toy stroller with everything we own have been two of the main attractions.
They have pilled these strollers with their chairs, boosters and many animals & dollies, then tie the strollers together to caravan around the house – the train grows at times with requests to tie on additional boxes as well.
The girls have been into building forts for awhile now and this one has lasted over a week in the living room, complete with floor cushions a light and at times music inside. Here are the girl coming out of the fort and another of Pfeiffer building inside.
